The "Wolf Man" of US Route 6

State historical marker dedicated to ‘Wolf Man of Kane’ McCleery


KANE — “Welcome to another almost perfect day on Gen. Kane's Summit, Pennsylvania.”
With those words, Dennis Driscoll of the Kane Historic Preservation Society summed up a glorious Saturday where people gathered from around the area in front of the old arch entrance to Dr. Edward McCleery's Wolf Farm along U.S. Route 6 in Hamlin Township to honor the man who saved the lobo wolf from extinction.
The state historical marker honoring McCleery, which was recently erected in front of the site located at 7840 U.S. Route 6, was dedicated on Saturday.
