Heritage Museums and Gardens, Sandwich, MA; Route 6A

     The Heritage Museums and Gardens in Sandwich, MA is that rare mix of attractions under one identifier where everyone in your family is happy. Gardening fans and horticulturists flock to the expansive collection of rhododendrons and other fauna and flora, car buffs adore the museum that houses 40 antique autos, and kids always make a beeline to both the ride-it-as-much-as-you-want indoor carousel and the kidorific “Hidden Hollow.” Even those esoteric bird-carving enthusiasts can take a three-day carving class or at least check out the world-class collection of carved ducks and other winged creatures. I could have easily spent dusk till dawn on all 100 acres, perusing the museums and miles of rustic (and also paved) pathways. Open May 1st to October 31st (and December for Holiday programs), there’s always some event going on.  Can you tell this place blew me away?   Get a tiny taste through this short video;
